From the game pieces to the trivia cards, every aspect of Twilight Scene It? has been infused with the spirit of Twilight. The game begins with players choosing one of four collectible tokens to represent their team. Sculpted out of metal, these tokens have been modeled after some of Twilight’s most iconic items: Charlie’s house, a baseball, Bella’s truck, and Edward’s piano.

Teams advance around the board by answering two types of questions: traditional trivia cards and DVD-based puzzles. The trivia cards, which resemble what you might find in Trivial Pursuit, provide questions in a wide range of difficulty. Some of the tougher questions are challenging enough to stump even the most devoted Twilight fans. Players can also strategically use special “Fate Cards” to throw their opponents off course.

The main attraction, however, is the interactive DVD. Hosted by Dr. Carlisle Cullen (played by Peter Facinelli), it is filled with hundreds of video clips, sound bites, and images from the movie. When players draw a DVD challenge card, they must solve a video puzzle. These puzzles range from memory games to message decryptions, and will put your knowledge of Twilight to the test.

Fun for Every Level of Twilight Fan

The DVD has been designed with the fans in mind. Everything about it has been adapted from the film, right down to the gothic font used for the menus. You’ll see cameos by your favorite characters and relive classic moments from the film. Also included are several mini-games, so you can get a quick Twilight fix even when you’re not playing the board game.

With hundreds of questions, Twilight Scene It? has something for every type of Twilight fan. The difficulty is varied enough to keep everyone engaged — from Twilight die-hards to casual fans. Also, some of the video puzzles are completely self-contained, so even non-fans can participate in the game.

The first new 2D Mario platformer since Super Mario World has arrived. “This is a great platforming game like most Mario games and is a great update of the same old successful formula. This game reminds me a lot of Super Mario Brothers 3 with 8 worlds you have to complete and fun transformations for Mario to use to complete his adventure. The greatest transformation is the giant mushroom that makes Mario giant and you can smash through the level quickly and powerfully. On the opposite side you have the mini mushroom that makes Mario tiny in order to walk on water, jump higher, jump off walls, or go down tiny pipes. The other costumes are similar to previous games, but no racoon cape.”

Sound: Another department that also shines lies in the upbeat, catchy music that plays in each level. Some of these tunes will be forever embedded into your mind after first treating the ears to them. And while most but not all of them are surefire winners, each fits it’s destinations design and theme to a T! Sound effects are as you’d expect. Mario speaks in his usual tone of jibber-jabber that mostly consist of “mamma mia,” and “oh no!”. The familiar sounds of grabbing 1-ups and bopping Koopa shells are also present and sound exactly as you remember them.”

Video and audio specs
The guts of the Xbox 360 comprise what is, for all intents and purposes, a very powerful computer. The customized IBM PowerPC CPU boasts three processing cores running at 3.2GHz each. We could go on and on about the detailed specifications of the system, but for the sake of comprehension, we’ll hold that back. What you really need to know about the Xbox 360 in terms of performance though, is its ability to output HD graphics. Every single Xbox 360 game has been designed to output at a minimum of 720p, and–if your TV supports it–they can be upscaled to 1080i or 1080p (just choose your preferred resolution on the console’s settings page). HD output is available via the included component video cable, or you can supply your own HDMI cable instead. Alternately, you can pick up VGA video adapters from Microsoft ($40) or Joytech ($20), which let you connect to HDTVs and PC monitors that offer a standard 15-pin VGA/RGB connector.

Design
When laid horizontally, the 8.8-pound Xbox 360 is 12.15 inches wide, 3.27 inches high, and 10.15 inches deep, and it’s actually slightly smaller than the original Xbox, which also weighed in at 8.8 pounds. Unlike the original, the Xbox 360 can be propped up in a vertical position and, as you’re probably aware, can be customized with interchangeable faceplates that cost as much as $20. Custom faceplates aside, it’s worth pointing out that the beige color of the system tends to clash with the silver and black of typical AV components.

Remarkably, the latest iPod nano looks almost identical to its predecessor, but this player packs so much more into its small frame: A video camera, an FM tuner (a first for iPods!), a pedometer for joggers, and a larger screen. Priced at $149 for 8GB and at $179 for 16GB ($20 less than last year’s 16GB player), this nano is more affordable, and it’s more capable than similarly priced players, so it’s our latest Editors’ Choice.
